Industry engagement leads to true partnerships

As 2021 comes to an end we would like to thank our customers and industry for a great year, in difficult circumstances.  Almost 2 years since the COVID-19 pandemic started, engagement with our customers is as important as ever.  Although we have had to adjust along the way by embracing technology nothing beats face 2 face interaction. 

For the 4^th year in a row, we were a gold sponsor of Bowen Basin Mining Club.  Hearing from Anglo, BHP, Bowen Coking Coal, and Whitehaven along with a panel discussion throughout the year was invaluable as we gained a greater understanding about what was important to each business and how we can play a part in the solution. 

In early 2021, we became a yearly sponsor of the WA Mining Club after we had previously sponsored an individual event in 2020.  With over 500 people in attendance at each month’s lunch, we quickly recognised that the WA Mining Club is the leading industry networking event in WA.  Presenters throughout the year included Iluka, Alcoa, along with two panel discussions, one on Sustainability and indigenous relations, and the other all about Port Hedland.

As a member of Austmine we attended several networking events throughout the country as well as the 2021 Mining Innovation conference embracing the theme of ‘Harnessing Intelligence’.  We once again participated in the Maca Cancer200 ride for cancer research & supported the Soft Cogs for the MS Gong Ride that unfortunately was cancelled due to Covid. 

As guests we also attended Diggers & Dealers, Northern Territory Resources week, the Brisbane Mining Club, Sydney Mining Club, Goldfields meet the supplier expo, QRC women in mining awards & the QRC Annual forum 

Add to this over 400 face 2 face meetings with current or prospective clients in head offices in Brisbane, Sydney, Newcastle, Perth, Darwin & Adelaide or on site in the Pilbara, Goldfields, Hunter Valley & Bowen Basins. 

Its through this intense engagement that FleetCo has become a trusted partner to many in the mining industry and a key reason why in 2021 we had a record number of new customers hire equipment.
