QUALITY FLEET BOOSTS PRODUCTIVITY
In 2019, FleetCo were approached to quickly mobilise a fleet of Cat 789 haul trucks to fill a production gap for a customer in the Pilbara. The fleet was mobilised from Port Hedland to the mine site within 2 weeks of executing a contract. Once commissioned, the mining trucks were placed into production and have not stopped working since.
As a result of scheduled maintenance performed by Thiess’ well-established and industry renowned asset support team, the fleet has consistently averaged >500 monthly SMU hours. These productivity gains saw an extension to the contract with an additional truck added to the fleet in late 2020. The productivity gains have continued into 2021 with average SMU hours now over 550, with several machines in the fleet exceeding 600 hours.
